Meet Scott: Our Newest Sass Employee | Sass Construction and Remodeling MN

Wednesday, September 4th, 2013

If you contact us here at Sass, you might be connected with the friendly and knowledgeable Scott, Scott of Sass Construction MNthe newest addition to our remodeling Sales team, who started in June.

We took a few minutes to catch up with Scott and learned some interesting facts about his life:

Where did you grow up? West Bloomington, by the Bush Lake Ski Jump.  But due to some city line issues, we went to Edina public schools.  I was the youngest of four brothers.

What do you like to do with your free time?  Spend time at my Hayward, WI cabin. Work on old cars. Play golf when I can.

Where would you love to travel, but have never been?  Would love to see Australia — though not sure I could deal with the long flight!  It would be fun to relax in Bora, or visit Dubai to see the architecture of the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world.

What is your biggest success up until now?  Starting, building, and running my own successful remodeling company for over 20 years, up until 2007.

What else would you like to share?  I love helping people make their dreams come true through remodeling and see their projects all come together.

A big welcome to Scott from all of us here at Sass Construction!

If you’re ready to get started on your Twin Cities or West Metro remodeling project, connect with us today to start working with one of our many friendly team members!

Summertime at Sass Construction! – What We Love to Do

Thursday, May 23rd, 2013

Summer is almost upon us!  summertime leavesHere at Sass Construction we work hard, but we love to play to, especially when it comes to being outdoors over our beautiful Minnesota summers.  Here are some fun insights from the Sass Construction gang on what we like to do in the summertime!

Mark enjoys driving his classic cars but mostly spending time and mingling at a car club he belongs to.  Not only spending time with his friends, he likes to restore cars and classic tractors. Now with a granddaughter, Mark enjoys traveling to visit his family and visiting his other life in Alaska.

During the summer time, Ivan likes camping, biking, motorcycling and deaf socializing.

“We love to take boat cruises on Lake Minnetonka from Excelsior or on the Mississippi River from Stillwater with family or friends.  Enjoy baseball games – grandkids and/or the Twins!”

“I like to sit in the rocker on the front porch enjoying the view in our front yard of the pond with Mark and also with my best friend Mary.  Many great conversations on the porch.  Taking early morning walks with Ozzy, our dog.  Also, look forward to my Dad’s huge family reunion every year in July.”

Jamie enjoys being outdoors with his family.  And this means anything, as long as it’s out of the house.  Spending time around the fire pit, playing games, camping, etc.

“When I get a chance I love to fish camp and spend time with my wife and kids…  what more could you ask for.  Life is what you make it and life is good.”

“Back in Colorado I loved to mountain climb, and enjoyed mountain biking and boating on our little lakes.  But I’m excited to explore Stillwater and Hudson this summer!  Most of all, no matter where I may be in this world, I enjoy spending time outside with my dog Bella.”

We love helping people create new spaces in their homes and businesses too!  Need help with your remodeling or construction job?  Get in touch today.  And don’t forget to spend some time outside while you’re at it!

There’s always something different each day.  As we work through projects for clients, people want different things.  There’s no redundancy with my job, and new challenges every day!

What’s one thing you miss about being a kid?
I miss playing the drums.  I was a drummer from Middle School all the way through High School and I loved playing a good beat in a song.

What activities do you do for fun?
I love seeing movies, working out, and skiing.

What do you like best about living in Minnesota?
There’s always something to do here!  Whether it’s ice fishing in the winter, going to the mall, picking apples, or taking a drive up to Duluth.

If you could plan a trip anywhere in the world, where would it be?
I would go to Rome to see the Coliseum and sightsee.

Thanks Amber and welcome to Sass Construction!
